What is MineChanger?

It’s time to change the game with MineChanger! Join 52 Minecraft content creators as they face a brave new survival challenge in a customized world where they’ll interact with fellow creators, mine for resources, and face-off against one another in minigame challenges throughout the event. Donations can directly impact a creator’s experience, both positively and negatively! How will you change the game?

MineChanger, in collaboration with 1N Productions, will take place on June 16 at 4pm EST on various content creators streams (more on this below). The event will last roughly three hours, with the goal of raising as much money as possible for hospitalized children and bringing them the joy of gaming. Creators will spawn into a world, work as if it’s a Minecraft survival server and have the freedom to do whatever they want… But the big twist? Donations directly impact how the game is played. As milestones are met, the map will expand, new areas will be unlocked, minigames will be triggered, and we may have a few surprises here and there.

NOTE: Make sure to join the GameChanger Discord to stay up to date with all things MineChanger, our events, and GCC: discord.gg/gdpHUcDRXM

How do I donate?

Donations for MineChanger will be available on the date itself through a custom Tiltify page (which can be found on the streams themselves), with specific goals and milestones which will directly impact the game and the streamers when hit. When donating, you will be prompted with a list of effects that you can choose, which can impact random streamers or the entire server. It’s up to you, the audience, to decide how the game will play out!

Where can I watch MineChanger?

To watch MineChanger, tune into any of the 52 content creator’s streams. To donate, locate the donation link once you tune into a stream. Come join us and your favorite creators to change the game on June 16!

Swords sharpened, shields up, and bows drawn – it’s time to drop into the TubNet Battle Royale Arena! TubNet and GameChanger Charity are joining forces to bring you an exciting and unique live fundraising event that the audience (that means YOU) can have direct influence on. Get ready for the most unique  Minecraft showdown you’ve ever experienced – all in the name of GameChanger’s mission to improve the lives of hospitalized children.

32 Minecraft creators will face each other in an expansive world full of danger, and must become the last person standing to win. And we’re inviting you to get involved! Every donation through the event store can either positively or negatively impact a creator of your choice – quite literally changing the game! Your effect on the game can range from mild to wild, give your favorite creator some extra hearts to survive the night, or rain TNT down on an enemy. Alongside impacting the outcome of the Battle Royale, every donation will have a direct impact on a sick child and their family. At GameChanger, we believe gaming has the power to heal and improve the lives of children facing life-threatening illnesses and extended hospital stays. To find out more about how GameChanger utilizes donations to change the game for hospitalized children, read HERE.

Long Beach to Salt Lake City Trip Starts February 14

The 2023 edition of GameChanger’s “Road Trip For Good” has begun. This multi-city, multi-stop campaign was originally revealed and completed back in 2021 (from San Diego to Seattle) during a time when hospitalized children were more isolated than ever. The goal of the road trip is to raise awareness of GameChanger and bring hope, joy, and happiness to sick children who are being treated with debilitating illnesses. The decision to bring it back in 2023 was an easy one. We find it be a powerful and fun way to do what GameChanger does best: deliver goodies and games to sick kids.

This time, GameChanger Charity founder, Jim Carol, will visit a total of six cities and six hospitals. He will begin his ten day, thousand-mile long journey on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) in Long Beach, CA where he will make his first drop-off. He will stay in California to drop off in Mission Viejo then Orange. After, he will head up the Interstate 15 and fourteen hours later will arrive in Utah. GameChanger will visit three more cities in Utah such as Saint George and Orem. He will then head to the capital of Utah, Salt Lake City, to make his final visit on February 24 to end the trip.

Over $60,000 Worth of Goods to be Donated

Over the course of the trip, GameChanger will be donating approximately $60,000 total worth of Minecraft clothing, toys, and merchandise. Thank you to Microsoft and Mojang for the donations! Alongside the Minecraft goodies, we will be giving over 3,000 video games to the hospitals, courtesy of EA. Gifts will go directly to the hospitals and the many sick children that are isolated inside of them. Jim will be picking up these goodies during his trip.

For those interested in adding more to the amount of goodies, GameChanger is always accepting monetary and item donations. To find out more on how you can donate to GameChanger and improve this trip (and many more), click here.

We are so grateful to all of our supporters that have helped us along the journey, so we wanted to make a short review of some of the stops we made along the way!

Starting on the 8th of the month, our founder Jim took on the Road Trip for Good, travelling across the western coastline to make stops at local hospitals for donations, and to pick up gifts or donations from local supporters. The trip began with a stop at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where we dropped off controllers, stuffed animals, and a number of other gifts for the children and staff. The trip continued on as Jim made another stop at Miller Children’s Hospital in Longbeach, dropping off more supplies and gifts for the wonderful people and children there. Up next, we made a stop at the Valley Children’s Hospital in Central California, where we were able to drop off tech equipment for their IT team and gifts for the wonderful children there. The trip continued on up the coast as we then made a stop at the Shriners Children’s Hospital of Portland, where we were able to see the beautiful city of Portland and make some great donations to the wonderful children and staff there. The trip concluded with a final stop at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to drop off a ton of stuffed toys, games, and gaming controllers.

We also wanted to give a special shoutout and thank you to our friends in the gaming industry, helping us spread joy to children everywhere. During the trip we were able to make stops at our friends EA & Valve, where we picked up donations and discussed some awesome things we have hopefully coming in the future! Also, we want to give a special thank you and shoutout to PowerA for their wonderful donations of controllers and custom controllers that we have absolutely loved. Thank you all so much for helping us make this first road trip for good an amazing one!

We are so grateful for the hard work that they are doing everyday to bring joy to children and fight against debilitating illness. We are looking forward to many, many more years of Changing the Game for sick children everywhere, and none of it would be happening without the support of our amazing friends and partners. Thank you all for making the first Road Trip for Good an amazing one. Check out the Highlights for the Road Trip for Good on our Twitter and Official Instagram #RoadTrip4Good Highlights.

GameChanger Charity has created the Road Trip for Good to bring awareness to this 365 day a year operation. Starting November 8th, the CEO and founder Jim Carol will begin the road trip for good in San Diego, California driving for 8 days from  San Diego to Seattle, Washington. This road trip will stop at many major game companies and long time donors to the cause. We will also not only pick up new donations, but drop off donations at pediatric hospitals all along the route like Miller’s Long Beach, CHOC and Valley Children’s hospital to name a few.

We joyously accept video games, gear, collectible items and marketing materials. During the pandemic, times have been horrible for any child with a life-threatening illness with the additional threat of covid. Services have been cut, staff decimated, and children have had to suffer with the inability of people being able to visit or deliver gifts and goodies.

We’ve also witnessed many of our game and tech partners have not been able to go into their offices since the pandemic began. If your company has any excess marketing materials or items collecting dust, please consider donating during the road trip or any day during the year.

This trip is to bring awareness to the suffering that has occurred for sick children as well as make it easy for our partner to donate items that may be sitting idly in cabinets, on desks or in warehouses. We also have developed systems to protect the earth in case donated items cannot be recycled or repurposed to help kids. We follow all e-steward and basel compliance guidelines. We also understand that many facilities do not have their managers back on premise at this point in time. This road trip for good is to help all in our industry and our community be aware of how we can turn what might be your trash into treasures for others.

Stay tuned and follow our Socials linked below to keep up-to-date with the progress of the #RoadTrip4Good and all of our other amazing events coming up!
